Owee™ is operated by Realtime Tech Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). We are committed to protecting the privacy of children and their families. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information when you use the Owee educational app and website.

We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States, the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), and the Age Appropriate Design Code (AADC).

Children's Privacy

Owee is designed for children aged 5-10. We take special care to protect children's privacy:

• Parental consent: A parent or guardian must create an account and provide verifiable parental consent before a child can use Owee.
• Minimal data collection: We only collect information necessary to provide the educational service.
• No advertising to children: We never show advertising to children inside the Owee app, and we never share a child's data with advertising partners.
• No social features: Children cannot communicate with other users or share personal information publicly.
• Parental controls: Parents have full visibility and control over their child's account through the Parent Dashboard.

Parent Account Information

• Email address (for account creation and communication)
• Password (stored securely using encryption)
• Payment information (processed securely by our payment provider)

Child Profile Information

• First name or nickname (for personalisation)
• Age (to provide age-appropriate content)
• Learning progress and quiz responses (to track educational development)
• Avatar selection (optional decorative choice)

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address to provide you with access and send important updates about Owee.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and improve the Owee educational service
• Personalise learning content to each child's age and progress
• Enable parents to monitor their child's learning journey
• Process subscriptions and payments
• Send important service updates to parents
• Respond to support enquiries

Legal Basis for Processing (UK GDPR)

We process personal data on the following lawful bases:

• Consent: For marketing communications and account registration
• Contract: To provide the Owee service to subscribers
• Legitimate interests: To improve our service and ensure security

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We only share data with:

• Service providers: Who help us operate Owee (hosting, payment processing)
• Advertising & measurement partners: A limited amount of measurement data, with your consent, to understand which of our adverts lead to sign-ups (see "Advertising and Measurement" below)
• Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect safety

All service providers are contractually bound to protect personal information and use it only for the specified purposes.

Advertising and Measurement

Owee is ad-free for children — we never show advertising inside the app. We do, however, advertise Owee to parents on platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google. So we can understand which of our adverts actually lead to sign-ups and subscriptions, we share a limited amount of measurement data with these advertising partners:

• The fact that an account was created, or that a subscription was purchased (and, for a purchase, the amount).
• An advertising click identifier (such as a Meta "fbclid" or Google "gclid") that links the action back to the advert that was clicked.
• For Meta only, a securely hashed (irreversible) version of the parent's email address.

This data relates to the parent, never the child. We only share it where a parent has given marketing consent, and you can withdraw that consent at any time (see "Your Rights"). We never share a child's personal information, learning data or quiz responses with advertising partners, and we never allow advertising partners to use this data to target adverts at children.

Our advertising partners act as independent controllers of the limited data they receive. For details of how they process it, see Meta's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as an account remains active. When an account is deleted:

• Child profile data is deleted within 30 days
• Parent account data is deleted within 30 days
• Payment records are retained as required by law (typically 7 years)

Your Rights

Parents have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of their child's personal data
• Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information
• Deletion: Request deletion of their child's data
• Withdraw consent: Revoke consent at any time
• Data portability: Receive data in a portable format
• Complaint: Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)
